Here at Cook Forest Trading Post, our mission is to maintain the largest variety of merchandise in the Forest, offering exactly what you wanted and never knew you needed while providing the sort of customer service most are unused to these days.

We do sell the traditional souvenier items, but also many, many pieces that you'd never expect to see. Stop in and look around to see exactly what we have. Though our inventory is always changing, there are some things we try to always offer.

We currently have items for sale that range from candy cigarettes to Cook Forest t-shirts, sweat shirts, tank tops, hoodies, sweat pants, and fleece jackets. Our Cook Forest apparel is available from infant size 6 months to adult XXXXXL (yes, 5 XL!). We also offer traditional souvenir items such as coffee mugs, magnets, stickers, Christmas ornaments, license plates, and shot glassess, all emblazoned with Cook Forest.

If you would rather bring home jewelery, or need a birthday or Christmas gift for a sister, mother, aunt, daughter, friend, or grandmother, we'll gladly help you choose the correct necklace, earrings, ring, bracelet, toe ring, or anklet just to her taste. We have fashion jewelry, myriad shell and wooden items, and a wide selection of sterling silver and genuine stone pieces.

There is even an antique sterling silver and turnquoise squash blossom necklace waiting for just the right customer. Along with our more feminine jewelery, there are plenty of sterling and stainless bands, arrowheads, and other more masculine pieces ready for a man to snap them up and take them home. Our sterling silver rings come in sizes 1 to 17 to fit nearly everyone.

If you like hats, or know someone who does, we have trucker hats with amusing sayings, bucket hats, camo hats, do rags, Cook Forest hats, leather hats, Bailey cowboy hats, and hats embroidered with beautiful animals.

For those more interesting in Native American items, we have drums, dream catchers, arrowheads, and (usually) peace pipes, all made by Native Americans here in the United States. We also have walking sticks and canes, some made locally. In addition, we have a wide selection of skins, pelts, and tails.

For those who collect knives and weaponry, we have a varied selection: everything from simple pocket knives to skinning knives, samurai swords, daggers, and more collectable, displayable knives. For fun and usefulness in the backyard or at camp, we also offer blow guns, throwing knives, and hatchets.

Also available in our trophy room are woodland, fantasy, and Native American themed home decor items. We have windchimes, salt & pepper shaker holders, wine bottle holders, statues, small figurines, end tables, toilet paper and paper towel holders, signs, floor lamps, touch lamps, picture frames, framed pictures, and more. All are high-quality resin, able to be set inside or outside, or manufactured from fragrant wood.

To complete the home feeling, we also offer the most comfortable Minnetonka Moccasins available. We have men's, women's, childern's, even adorable baby booties. Minnetonka makes and we carry styles made from deerskin, moosehide, traditional cow leather in suede and glove styles, and sheepskin so soft and fluffy it feels like walking on a cloud. Allow a Reid family member to help you choose the best style for you by coming in and trying on a pair.

In other leather goods, we offer purses large and small, from tiny child's play purses to large fashion purses, messenger bags, fanny packs, and tote bags. We also carry men's and women's leather wallets, drawstring puches, and change purses.

If your children or grandchildern aren't tempted by a day hiking in the woods or floating down the Clarion River, stop in to pick up a toy or two. We have everything from porcelain and plastic Native American dolls, train and action sets, cap guns, wooden repeating rubber band guns, to Cherokee and Pawnee Indian made drums, stuffed animals galore, spears, butterfly nets, plastic animals, goggles and snorkels, and many other ways to keep the kids amused without cell phone service.

Finally, if you've forgotten a candle to help air out a musty cabin or water shoes to help you keep your footing in the water, we can help you. We sell deliciously scented candles and water shoes for the whole family. If you need to feed a large crew, we also sell cast iron mountain pie makers and long-handled hot dog/marshmallow sticks.
